In July 2018, the Research Foundation of Flanders (FWO) donated €1.5 million to the Pregnancy Remote Monitoring (PREMOM) II project to implement this therapeutic approach in numerous other participating hospitals in Flanders. The PREMOM project has been formulated on evidence-based research that culminated in the doctoral dissertation of Dorien Lanssens, supervised by Prof. Dr. Wilfried Gyselaers. This PhD was possible due to the structural collaboration between Ziekenhuis Oost-Limburg (ZOL) and Hasselt University within the framework of LCRC (Limburg Clinical Research Center).
PREMOM II will be launched in four other hospitals: AZ Sint Jan in Bruges, AZ Sint Lucas in Bruges, UZA and UZLeuven, next to ZOL. Because of the known advantages of PREMOM and obtaining the research grand, Radio 2 has reported this on their website and conducted an radio interview.
