Each year, Hasselt University participates at the Science Day or ‘Dag van de Wetenschap’. The Science Day is the largest science event in Flanders and Brussels. MHU was present at the demonstration market with a collection of innovative technologies, like medical smartphone apps, wireless devices to measure your blood pressure, weight or physical activity, wearable technology to detect heart rhythm disorders, tools to transform your smartphone into a thermometer or glucometer and so on. Many of these new technologies are currently validated or their effectiveness is tested in clinical trials in Hospital East-Limburg or Jessa Hospital.
